A clean Hot Tub is a relaxing hot tub, which is why we always recommend having a consistent cleaning schedule. Much like soothing, stress-relieving hot water, it is a breeding ground for harmful bacteria and fungi, so cleaning is just as important to your health as the work of your Massage Hot Tub. Of course, it's often easier to prevent than to cure, so if your spa is outdoors, consider purchasing a spa cover to prevent debris from being blown (or swimming).

Below are our recommended cleaning schedules for spa owners who use their Hot Tub Spa several times a week. If you do not plan to use your spa regularly, speak to one of our professionals who can offer you a solution.

Weekly

Use a rag and white vinegar to wipe down the spa water line and jets.

Remove filter and spray with spa filter cleaner. Check for wear. Rinse thoroughly and replace.

Remove the spa cover for a few hours and allow it to cool and dry. Check that it is still correctly installed.

Check the water level in the spa and top up as needed.

Monthly

Use a chemical bath to clean the spa filters. Check for wear. Rinse thoroughly and replace.

Wipe down the exterior of the spa with an all-purpose cleaner or 1:10 bleach solution.

Check the lines and nozzles for signs of damage or contamination.

Remove all spa covers and clean them thoroughly. Replace when dry.

Quarterly

Thoroughly clean the enclosure with spa cleaner. Rinse thoroughly before filling.

Rinse the lines to remove the biofilm.

Thoroughly clean the spa filter with a chemical soak. Check for wear. Rinse thoroughly and replace.

Drain and fill with fresh water.
